Eulala Scheel was born in September 1998 to Oscar-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden and prop master Thaddaeus Scheel. As the eldest of Harden’s three children, Eulala grew up in a creative household while their mother balanced film, television, theater, and family life. They later pursued acting and public appearances of their own.

Eulala’s identity became more widely known in 2023, when Marcia Gay Harden said publicly that all three of her children are queer. She described Eulala as nonbinary while speaking during a drag telethon event. Eulala had already been visible in entertainment circles, but that family comment brought broader media attention to their identity.
