#12: Repeated Barking With a Stiff Body
A dog barking repeatedly while standing stiffly may be becoming increasingly stressed or defensive. Their body may look tense, rigid, and highly alert, especially around strangers, other animals, or unfamiliar situations. This combination can signal that the dog is close to escalating further.

Do not shout back or move directly toward the dog. Stay calm and give them space to settle down. Remove nearby triggers if possible and avoid forcing interaction. If this behavior happens often, especially with lunging or growling, consult a qualified trainer or behavior professional.
