#37: Excessive Drooling After Possible Toxin Exposure
Heavy drooling after possible exposure to toxins can signal poisoning, nausea, mouth irritation, or heat-related illness. A dog may also paw at their mouth, vomit, tremble, or seem weak and restless. Some chemicals and toxic plants can cause painful burns or dangerous internal reactions.

Contact a veterinarian or poison hotline immediately if toxin exposure is suspected. Try to identify what the dog may have eaten or touched and keep packaging if possible. Do not give food, milk, or home remedies unless instructed. Fast treatment is important because some toxins can become life-threatening very quickly.
