#57: Aggression During Grooming or Nail Trims
Some dogs become fearful or defensive during grooming, brushing, bathing, or nail trims. They may freeze, growl, pull away, snap, or bite when touched or restrained. This behavior is often linked to fear, pain, stress, or previous negative experiences with handling.

Stop the session if the dog becomes highly stressed or aggressive. Avoid forcing restraint or punishing the reaction, since this can increase fear. Use calm handling and positive reinforcement whenever possible. If grooming aggression happens regularly, seek help from a qualified trainer, groomer, or veterinarian to improve safety.
