#58: Seizure Lasting More Than a Few Minutes
A seizure that continues for several minutes can become a life-threatening emergency. During a seizure, a dog may collapse, shake violently, paddle their legs, drool, or lose awareness of their surroundings. Prolonged seizures can raise body temperature and place dangerous stress on the brain and organs.

Contact a veterinarian or emergency clinic immediately if a seizure lasts more than a few minutes. Keep the dog away from stairs, furniture, or sharp objects during the episode. Do not place your hands near their mouth. Keep the environment quiet and calm while seeking urgent medical care.
