#1: Orlando, Florida
Orlando has a way of sounding like the ultimate family vacation. Between Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, water parks, themed resorts, outlet malls, and endless restaurants, it feels like a place built entirely around fun. For many travelers, especially families with kids, it is one of America’s most recognizable vacation spots.

The reality can be much more exhausting. Theme park tickets, hotel stays, food, parking, and add-ons can get expensive fast, while long lines, heavy crowds, humidity, and summer heat can drain the magic. Travelers who want a more relaxed Florida trip might prefer Sarasota, St. Augustine, or one of the Gulf Coast beach towns.
