James “Jimmy” Stewart: The Great Hollywood Actor

On July 2, 1997, Jimmy Stewart passed away at eighty-nine due to heart failure. Everyone felt the loss of someone so special, but the love shown for him during his final days and after his passing was amazing. Not only was he an incredible actor, but he was also an incredible man.

He had his family and friends by his side. The whole country, which he cared so much about and served, mourned his loss. President Bill Clinton summed it up, calling Stewart a “National treasure… a great actor, a gentleman, and a patriot.” Those words couldn’t be more true.
