#10: Charles de Gaulle, Mid-20th Century
“Hercules the king will be seen with an uncouth nose, in the end he shall lead a great multitude far.” This line is tied to Charles de Gaulle, who became one of France’s most important leaders of the 20th century.

De Gaulle, known for his distinct features and commanding presence, rose to lead the French Resistance during World War II and later became President of France. Under his guidance, the country rebuilt after Nazi occupation and regained its international stature. Many believe Nostradamus’s description of a strong, unconventional leader fits de Gaulle remarkably well.
