#15: Columbo Has a Statue in Budapest
There’s a life-sized bronze statue of Peter Falk as Columbo standing on Falk Miksa Street in Budapest, Hungary. The figure shows Columbo looking pleasantly confused, wrapped in his rumpled raincoat, cigar in hand, frozen mid-thought like he’s about to ask one more question.

The statue was installed in 2014 and reportedly cost around $63,000. Its location isn’t random either — it’s believed Peter Falk was related to the street’s namesake, a 19th-century Hungarian political figure. Somehow, Columbo ended up solving cases forever… in Budapest.
