Overheard at Thanksgiving Dinner: People Share Amusing and Insightful Thanksgiving Tweets

Every Black Friday the news highlights some dystopian story about someone getting trampled or injured during a hectic rush at a department store. Some people have even died trying to shop for deals! It’s a dark aspect of holiday consumerism that people don’t like to think about. Comedian Jon Daly leaned into the darkness for this joke. 

He tweeted “Look at the people in the room with you. Tomorrow, one of them will die in a Target.” Dang! Obviously, we don’t want anyone to die in a Target trying to save $5 on a fleece blanket. If you like to go shopping on Black Friday, be safe out there! There is no deal out there that is worth dying for.
