#11: Thomas Yi
Prize Money: $235.4 million
Thomas Yi was only 23 when he won the $235.4 million Powerball jackpot in Florida in 2021. The Land O’ Lakes player matched all six numbers in the March 27 drawing and became the youngest Powerball jackpot winner in Florida Lottery history, making his win feel especially unusual from the start.

Rather than take the full annuity, Yi chose a one-time lump-sum payment of about $160 million before taxes. He said he still wanted to pursue higher education, possibly in business or medicine. For someone barely into adulthood, the prize could have paid for school, family security, investments, homes, and a completely different future.
