The Exciting Life of 80s Icon Bo Derek

Bo and John Derek reunited professionally for Ghosts Can’t Do It, another independent production controlled largely by the couple. Bo played Katie Scott, a devoted widow whose elderly husband, portrayed by Anthony Quinn, dies and returns as a ghost visible only to her.

The story follows Katie as she searches for a healthy young body that her husband’s spirit might possess. John wrote and directed the unusual romantic fantasy, while Bo again served as its central star and producer. The couple hoped the project would restore their commercial standing, but its release would produce their greatest failure yet.
