The Exciting Life of 80s Icon Bo Derek

In 1993, Bo starred in Woman of Desire, an erotic thriller featuring Jeff Fahey and veteran actor Robert Mitchum. She played Christina Ford, a mysterious woman involved in a murder investigation after a yacht trip ends with a man’s death and several conflicting stories.

The role returned Bo to the kind of sensual material that had defined many of her earlier films. However, the production received limited attention and did little to restore her former box-office position. Her screen career remained uncertain, but the glamorous image created by 10 still had enough power to bring her back to a familiar magazine.
