#49: The Yellow Rose Ends After One Season
Although The Yellow Rose gave Shepherd a meaningful return to regular television work, the series did not become a long-running success. It aired during the 1983–1984 season and ended after one season, leaving her once again without a stable screen role.

Still, the experience was not wasted. It proved she could carry a major television part and work within the demands of an ongoing series. After years of uneven film momentum, that mattered. And soon, another television opportunity would arrive with far greater impact.
