The Life of American Hero and Old Hollywood Icon Audie Murphy

One widely repeated story claims drunken actor Lawrence Tierney began behaving aggressively at a Hollywood party. Audie supposedly confronted the notorious brawler so calmly and firmly that Tierney left without Audie raising his voice or using physical force.

However, a contemporary newspaper report described a more heated confrontation, making the quiet version difficult to confirm.
