#40: Former Couples May Be Hidden From Each Other
Relationships can fall apart even after a couple enters witness protection. When protected spouses separate, officials may decide that neither person should know where the other is moved. This prevents an angry former partner from exposing the new address, either deliberately or during a heated argument.

Each spouse may receive a different location and continue life under separate protected identities. Someone who once shared every secret with their partner may suddenly be forbidden from knowing where that person lives. Even after the marriage ends, the danger surrounding both people can remain.
