#18: Low-Fat Flavored Yogurt
Low-fat yogurt may sound especially suitable for anyone watching their weight or cholesterol. However, when manufacturers remove some of the fat, they sometimes add sugar, sweeteners, or flavorings to make the yogurt taste more appealing.

The added sweetness can turn a nutritious dairy food into something closer to dessert. Fat also helps food feel satisfying, so low-fat versions are not always more filling. Select plain yogurt with no added sugar, then mix in fruit, nuts, or a small spoonful of honey.
