#3: Toaster Pastries
Toaster pastries are made for busy mornings. They require almost no preparation, come in countless flavors, and can even be eaten without heating. Their fruit fillings and fortified labels may also make them appear more nutritious than they really are.

Behind the colorful icing is usually a mixture of refined flour, added sugar, oils, and artificial flavorings. Most varieties contain very little protein or fiber. Replace them with whole-grain toast topped with natural peanut butter and sliced fruit for a breakfast that lasts longer.
